Do you remove SIM card on trade ins of iPhone?
Yes, you should remove the SIM card. Especially if you plan to use the same carrier and service on your new iPhone. You will need that SIM card to move the active cellular service from your old iPhone to your new iPhone.

It’s optional. I have never removed the SIM on my trade-ins.
