Mac Photos not using edited versions in the screensaver. How to "revert to edited" photos from iPhone?

With latest release of macOS BigSur version 11.3.1 or iOS 14.5.1, I use a photo album with edited (cropped, enhanced, or rotated) as my screensaver but the photos revert to the unedited versions. That is, if they've been cropped, edited or rotated, then copied/transferred from iPhone, all of the photos showing in the screensaver revert to the original photo. The edited photos appear as desired in the Mac Photo album used for the screensaver, so I cannot tell which photos will be unedited on the screensaver (therefore cannot "re-edit" the photos). Before, there was no problem but, recently after the update, my screensaver only shows original photos. How do get the photos back to the edited versions in the screensaver? How do I "revert to edited" photos in screensaver?

iMac 27″, macOS 11.5
