I can still return the Apple Watch?

My Apple Watch was a gift and after setting it up and using it for one day I’m considering returning it. Looking at terms and conditions of returns, Apple states ineligible items for return include: opened memory etc. i was wondering what that means and if I can still return the Apple Watch.
