Unable to send gift by email

I have tried to send gift card to a friend through email option provided on iTunes Store and it’s been unsuccessful,what can I do to resolve this?

Make sure it didn't get directed to junk mail.

When you resend an iTunes Gift, the recipient will receive another email with a link to redeem the gift."
