iPhone "swap"?

I purchased the iPhone 13, along with Apple Care from the Apple store on 11/05/2021. Looks like I have until 01/08/2022 to return. I'm now wishing I had purchased the iPhone 13 Pro rather than the iPhone 13. My question: is there any way to "swap" out my iPhone 13 with a similar model iPhone 13 Pro (256 GB, Graphite), with me paying the difference in cost, and also transfer the Apple Care to the new phone?

Or do I have to purchase the new 13 Pro, then return the 13 when the new 13 Pro arrives?

No matter how you do it, yes, you’re going to have to pay the difference in cost. You’ll get your money back on the 13 with a return and can use that towards the 13 Pro. But you will still have to pay the full price of the 13 Pro in the end.

Yes, you can return the 13 you purchased for full refund, then buy the 13 Pro model you wish you had purchased. Whether they have the configuration in stock at the time you want to return the phone you bought is another question. You'll need to check with your local Apple Store and see on that.
