Pages disappeared from my dock. Where did it go?

The most likely cause is the user accidentally dragging the icon up and off the dock, then releasing it. Done intentionally, that is the normal procedure for removing an item from the dock.

To put it back: in Finder, go to the Applications folder, locate Pages, drag its icon to the Dock and drop it in the position you want the icon to stay.

OR

Double click the icon in the Applications folder to launch Pages, then go to the Doc, right click (or control-click) on the Pages icon and choose Stay on Dock. Then drg the icon to the position you want it on the dock.

Click the magnifier at the right end of the menu bar, then search for Pages or Pages.app.

If there are no results, Pages has somehow departed from your machine, and you will need to visit the App Store and "Get" it again.

If it is found, you should be able to drag it from its current location to the Applications folder, then launch it from there (and put it back on the Dock).
