Apple Music playlist bug

Whenever I add a song to a playlist, the song won’t add. If I add it again, it will add two of the same song, and if I remove one, they both get removed. The only way to remove one of the songs is to edit the playlist and press the remove button. I am able to make playlists but it is very tedious and annoying when it doesn’t work. The music I am using is downloaded music from my Apple Music subscription.

Hi JohnPrendergast,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.

We understand you're having trouble adding songs and removing them from your playlist. Does this affect a specific playlist? Force close the music app and relaunch the app. Restart your iPhone. Make sure you're running the latest software in Settings > General > Software Update. If this occurs with a specific playlist, create a new playlist and add the music.

JohnPrendergast,

Go to Settings > Music. Turn off and back Sync Library. This will remove all downloaded music from your phone. You can download your music after troubleshooting.

If it continues, go to Settings > [your name] > Media & Purchases > Sign out, restart iPhone, sign in.

Contact Apple Support if this continues after signing back in.

Regards.
