Can Focus mode be turned on for a device but not ALL devices?

I like focus mode, but I don't need it to silence my computer AND my phone. Is it possible to turn on focus mode just for an individual device?

I was excited about this as I often use do-not-disturb while working but sometimes forget to also set it on my phone. So I'm disappointed to see that Focus only works on iOS and not on MacOS. Want to Turn On Focus Mode On a Single Device, Not for All? I used to use my "Do Not Disturb" mode on the computer and I did not turn this mode on on the phone so that I could see it on my phone when I received messages and calls. After this update, when I put any of my devices in do not disturb mode, they all started to switch to this mode. Is there a way to do this for a single device? This really makes everything hard for me.

Question about new Focus Before the latest software upgrade, Focus would basically mute my phone with a single setting. Now it seems so complicated I can't even figure it out, much less set it. Is there are simple way to get it to work like it did before? Thanks.

Turn off the Share with other devices option in the settings/System Preferences.
