how do I permanently delete an app from my iPhone, that is no longer viewable on my Home Screen?

It would have helped had you taken the time to mention which iPhone you are using and which iOS version is installed on it. In the absence of this information, I am going to assume that you are using either iOS 14 or iOS 15 on your iPhone.

Check the apps in the App Library. The App Library is the last Home Screen on your iPhone when you continue to SWIPE LEFT until you reach it. Once you are in the App Library, then you can search/locate the apps that you would like to delete. Once located then delete those apps by choosing ➔ Delete App.
