Testra email on macbookpro m1

I am trying to add a new account to my new computer

Have added 2 telstra @mail accounts with no problem

Now trying to add a 3rd @bigpond.net.au

Password is correct, have reset it and still correct but message is "password or user name is incorrect"

Called telstra . They checked account. All fine

Told me to call Apple!!!!!!
