What are the Dots in various colours signify about the notes on my iPhone?

You did not mention shared Notes. See this page in the iPhone User Guide about shared notes and the dots to the left side of the Note and what it designates. Share notes and collaborate on iPhone - Apple Support

i found a very good respond to the same question but better worded by another user… I understand that person was more observant on the mystery with its details than I was. Truthfully how would I have known the dot would only appear if the note was shared lol..! When the Share function was made so easily accessible, I didn’t think to look into Notes instructions to find any reference to a dot 3/4 ways into the content. The other discussion response (linked above) went ever further to explain the colour significance. But thanks chrisJ4203. Your help is appreciated too TheLittles. Happy Holidays

You're welcome. I wasn't complaining as much as I was just referring to the fact that as much information as possible is needed as we try to answer questions here. Since we are not sitting together with you and the phone, and it can take a while between posts, getting as much background as possible is all that is asked.
