Hi - I recently synced my ipad with my iphone and have noticed that alot of my old photos have now gone. I checked the icloud and seems the icloud has backed up according to this as well. Is there a way I can get my old photos back?

Check your Recently Deleted album. Anything deleted within the past 30 days and not otherwise deleted will be in that folder. If there is no Recently Deleted album, your items have likely been permanently deleted.
