Apple ID asking for passcode from phone I don’t have
I recently got notified of an unauthorized login attempt on my Apple ID so I changed the password. Now in order to reactivate iCloud I am being asked to sign in again on my devices (I have a laptop and an iPhone). I put in my new Apple ID password, my current phone passcode, and then it’s asking me for the passcode for my “other iPhone.” I do not have another iPhone. I got this phone in 2019 and transferred all of the data from my old phone onto this one so I don’t know why it would be counting that as a phone still if that is what it’s referring to. I’ve tried the last passcode I remember using on that phone but it isn’t working, and neither are the other passcodes I thought would be possibilities.
It’s offering the forgot passcode option but says it will delete encrypted data - does that mean I’m going to lose all of my saved passwords and messages and photos that were in iCloud? It won’t let me authorize access on another device because all of my devices were signed out of iCloud when I changed my password.
Feeling very frustrated that I’m being barred from fixing this because of an iPhone I don’t even have.
(Also, when I go to post this, it only lists me as having this iPhone and my MacBook Air, so I really don’t understand what phone it’s referring to.)
