Which is the Approved Apple authenticator app?

I'm confused by authenticator apps. Which one is right for both my iMac and iPhone?

Apple account itself does not need an authenticator, it uses 2 factor authentication with codes and Keychain.

If you also have a Microsoft outlook account you might want to install the MS authenticator app.

Ditto Google account, install their app.

You may be able to mix and match but keeping it simple is recommended.

It must think you have an authenticator app installed, try installing Google Authenticator and tell your Ring account which one to use.

See;

https://support.ring.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360061508852-How-to-Download-and-Use-an-Authenticator-App-

"After you’ve downloaded an authenticator app, go to Ring.com on your computer, laptop or a mobile browser. You’ll need to have your Ring account password handy to complete this process. Your username and password for Ring.com are the same ones you use for the Ring app."
