"AppleMobileDeviceHelper quit unexpectedly..."

Hello all and Merry Christmas!

Recently when restart my iMac I will get this pop-up window "AppleMobileDeviceHelper quit unexpectedly. Click Reopen...." with the buttons Reopen, Report... and Ignore. Clicking on any of these buttons doesn't seem to work or any response.

The last few times I was able to Force Quit with Activity Monitor. But the latest round seems to be unsuccessful.

How do I get rid of the window? Or prevent this from happening every time I restart?

Thanks and best regards.

Boot to Recovery and repair/First Aid the startup disk. You can't repair/First Aid the disk you booted from.

If disk OK then do normal startup and see if problem reoccurs.

If still problem boot to Safe Mode, which takes minutes and redownload the installer and start normally and see if problem reoccurs.
