Keep MacBook Pro M1 plugged in? Or use battery periodically?

I rarely use my new MacBook Pro M1 as a travel computer. I could leave it plugged in all the time. Should I? or is there an advantage to occasionally running the battery down to some percentage?

thanks, Cybunny

PS I've seen older articles suggest running the battery once a month down to 5%; I've also seen Apple Help suggest "let the software take care of battery health" which seems a bit gnomic.

You can leave the computer plugged in whenever convenient to do so. Leaving it plugged in will not damage the computer or the battery. Leaving it plugged in reduces the rate of accumulation of battery cycles. The MacOS manages the charging systm very well. You do not need to micro manage the system.
