Mac OS Monterey

When I went to OS Monterey I lost almost all of my picture icons in my bookmarks and other places. Now there is just a picture of a round world like icon. Anybody have a fix for this?

Boot into Safe Mode according to How to use safe mode on your Mac and test to see if the problem persists. Reboot normally and test again.

It's a very safe fix procedure. You'll notice that Apple recommended my suggestion. Apple op has an official document regarding it that I provided a link to. It's one of the first things a user can do when they begin to experience wonky behavior in the Mac.

But it's your call untimely.

this "fix" does not sound safe. I don't want to have to do that. I can't loose the info on both of my computers. Why can't they do a "fix" on the next update. PLEASE.

thanks so much. that really helps. I have some very "wonky" behavior since the last OS update on both of my mac's. :-(
