Hi, kscott3194, and thanks for reaching out. We see you have some concerns relating to your contacts and FaceTime. We'll be glad to assist.

We see you came from Use FaceTime with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

To clarify, many FaceTime icons are green in color, so this may be normal. With the amount of information provided, we're unable to determine exactly what you're referring to.

If you're referring to Messages, rather than FaceTime; green often indicates that your contact is using a device not set up for iMessage (Android or otherwise using SMS messaging).

If you need further assistance, please let us know exactly where you're seeing this with as much detail provided as possible.

Cheers!

My most recent experience…a person that had me blocked tried FaceTime’n me and the “Join” button was green. They were also unable to FaceTime while the “block” was enabled. It will ring, you can answer, but it will immediately drop because that person has you blocked. At least this was my experience. Anytime my child FaceTime’s me from the iPad the buttons are white or gray and the “End” button is read. Idk…

😂 Way to totally not understand the original question. “If your taking about Messages and not FaceTime…” 😂 “FaceTime icons are usually green…” 🤦‍♂️

In the Messages app, the FaceTime icon in the top right is filled in green and says “JOIN”, but only in messages to a specific contact. In other contacts’ messages the FaceTime icon is just a blue outline and does not say “JOIN”.
