Safari back swipe not working a lot of times

After reinstalling macOS Monterey (12.1), a lot of times I can't swipe back in Safari. The page will not be completely removed from the window when swiping.

A temporary fix that I've found is by changing "Swipe between pages" in the Trackpad settings to another option and then back to "Scroll left or right with two fingers".

I've made a video that shows the problem: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fYcEGyeu1-0

What can I do to fix this problem once and for all?

Thank you.

When are you going to look over my ticket? macOS 12.2 and still happening. There are a lot of people with this problem, but apparently it's not important enough.

Hi rptoma,

We'd like to help you find the best resolution for swiping back in Safari. We recommend looking over Keyboard shortcuts and gestures in Safari on Mac & Use Multi-Touch gestures on your Mac and verify these actions work and that the isolation is just between switching the settings. If this is the case, and with reinstalling the macOS as you mentioned, this would not sound like expected software behavior, and you'll want to reach out to Apple Support. You can use the link below, if needed.
