Changing iPhones AND Carriers

I’m switching from an iPhone 8 to an iPhone 13 mini, and I’m also switching from T-Mobile to Verizon. Are there any extra steps I need to take to make sure that every single thing on my iPhone 8 will transfer smoothly to the iPhone 13 mini with the new carrier?

Just use quick start or restore from an iCloud backup and the new phone should be set up correctly. You just need to make sure that the correct SIM card is in the new phone.
