Have you restarted? If not do so. If that doesn't make a change, restart in safe mode and let it sit for 10 minutes or so then do a normal shutdown and normal restart.
Okay thanks! It's appears to be working now. I appreciate your response and if it stops again...I'll be backl I also went and turned off the "Full Keyboard Access", so maybe that was part of my problem. Thank you, thank you (I'm happily using my space bar :-)
