Deleting iMessages creates new iMessages from old iMessages with current date and time

Hi

When I delete one or a number of iMessages the same number of new iMessages that are copies from old iMessages with current date and time show up.

Is this bug known or am I the first to report it?

How can I correct it?

iPhone 12

iOS 15.1.1

First, let's restart your device: Restart your iPhone


Once that is done, let's go ahead and test the issue. If the issue still persists, then let's try updating the device:


Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
