So my iPhone 6 will not pair with my new Apple Watch?

No, it said 6s and above. I’ve read the footnote several times this past year, and posted it for users a few times.

The 6 does not have enough RAM to run the current iOS versions. The 6s has twice as much RAM, and can run iOS 13, 14 and 15

Greetings, I bought a new apple watch SE 40 mm but its not pairing with 6 Plus. Before buying I checked and it said 6 and above are compatible, The software is updated on iphone to 12.5.5 and it says its upto date while the message in pairing says iphone software not updated. Did I waste money to buy the apple watch. Have tried restart, network reset, Please advice

If your watch is running WatchOS8 then you need a phone that is running ios15 or higher,your iphone 6 will only update to ios12.

If your watch is running WatchOS6 then you need a phone running ios13 or higher.

To pair that watch you need an iphone running ios15 or higher,you have 14 days from purchase date to return the watch.
