The iPad I bought my mum seems to have moisture under the screen.
She has not split anything on it and no water marks on the cover.
can it be anything else?
Am I correct in thinking if it is water damage then Apple Care will cover it correct?

Apple Care + will cover water damage with service fee. Regular Apple Care does not cover water damage.

Just checked and I took out apple care +
Good! I think the service fee runs about $50. Apple Care + is well worth the price. I always buy it for my devices.
