Why is my predictive text in Spanish when I’ve only enabled English and emoji keyboards?

I have two keyboards selected : English and emoji. Yet the predictive text too often gives me Spanish words, even when the English predictive is obvious. Example: entire -> entiende

I don’t want Spanish, only English. What do I need to do?

iPad, iPadOS 15

Go to the Dictionary settings and make sure that Spanish is turned off and only English is on.

Only English is enabled. Oxford American and New Oxford American

Only two English dictionaries are enabled.
