iPad Air 2 unlocking

in a recent iOS update a character that was part of my daughters password no longer contained this special character on the keyboard. My daughter thought she had forgotten her password and entered her password multiple times resulting in the iPad being locked. Unfortunately, she hasn’t backed up her iPad so restoring the iPad is not an option. Is there a way of accessing the data on the iPad?

Not any longer!

You are now forced into a complete reset of this iPad using a full computer.

Sorry, but NO other choices or options, now.

If that iPad has NEVER had its data backed up, all will be lost forever, now.

Sorry.

You will need to have access to a full computer, like a Mac or Windows PC, try either using the Finder on a Mac that has the newest macOS Catalina, or later macOS, installed OR with an older Mac with an older Mac OS, download and install the latest iTunes version ( or latest iTunes for Windows PC ), make sure the Mac or Windows PC is connected to the Internet, connect your iPad by the USB charge cable to the computer and let the iTunes application fully reset this iPad.

Tap the link below for the procedures needed.

If you forgot your Apple ID password - Apple Support

Make sure your iPad is, at least, charged to 50% or greater to attempt this.

If NO access to a Mac or Windows computer, you will have to seek help from a good friend or family member, with a full Mac or Windows PC, to help you out

OR

Search online to locate and call contact your nearest, “local” Apple Store location to try/attempt to make an appointment to get your Apple iPad upgraded/updated to its latest iPadOS 15 version.

Apple Store employees will be glad to help/assist you.

The iPad has been disabled. Unfortunately, the only option is to reset the passcode and this requires the ipad to be wiped clean as part of the process. If interested, then please read below:

You will have to reset the passcode to your iPad by following the instructions in this guide published by Apple ➔  If you forgot the passcode or if your iPad has been disabled. You will need a computer to execute this procedure and all the data on your iPad will be erased.
