Question about Phone lockout and access?
Hi!
I recently changed my password on my iPhone, (using a separate email) but could not remember the login once I restarted the phone. My phone at the time had been acting up, so I thought the easiest way to make it work were by restarting it.
Once I restarted my phone, I attempted to type in my password, and it didn’t work. I tried repeatedly, until eventually I had to wait about a hour until I could try again. Once that were over, I attempted a few more times — resulting in my phone to read “iPhone Unavailable.”
I tried logging into my Apple ID account on a separate device, but I couldn’t login to that either. I tried resetting my password using someone else’s phone, but it said “Someone would get back to me in 17 hours.”
I wanted to know:
1.) Does Apple give customers the opportunity to reset their phone password if they’re locked out?
2.) How can we reset our password if phone verification doesn’t work?
