MacBook Pro external power switch

is there a solution fir being able to turn on a MacBook Pro( 2020 m1) while the lid is closed the use case is thinking about using the map as primary computer in a stand with a CalDigit ts3 but would like to have a permanent solution rather than disconnecting opening and turning it on sleep mode might be the only answer but would there be implications fir the battery?
