Why battery indicator turned yellow instead of green

Probably you have Low Poer mode enabled.

To turn Low Power Mode on or off, go to Settings > Battery. You can also turn Low Power Mode on and off from Control Center. Go to Settings > Control Center > Customize Controls, then select Low Power Mode to add it to Control Center.

Can you please explain the scenerio where it turns yellow.

In the security update the green indication is for Camera Use and Yellow when only mic is in use.

or

when we switch on the "Battery saver" it turns yellow.

You have enabled the Low Power mode option.
