The battery in my 2015 MacBook Air had completely died so during Black Friday I jumped at the chance to buy a 2020 MacBook Air at a great price.
The first time I had to charge the battery I was surprised to find that unlike the 2015 model the charger for this new laptop doesn't have the amber light indicating it's charging nor the green light indicating it's fully charged.
Is this normal for the 2020 model or did I receive the wrong charger?
Thanks for your reply. I'm really disappointed that Apple would take a great feature away probably for the sake of reducing production cost?
My 2015 MacBook Air is still working as long it's plugged in. Needless to say, it's so comforting to see the green light indicating it's 100% charged.
2018 through current MacBook Airs use a USB-C cable to the power adapter and there is no external display indicating chraging status.
(I have a 2020 MacBook Pro and it is the same.)
Is this normal?
