how can I update my Mac Book

I am trying to get the latest version on my Mac so I am able to connect a cricut to my computer.

Back up your data, check your applications for compatibility, and if your MacBook Air model is recent enough, click on High Sierra, Mojave, Catalina, Big Sur, or Monterey.
