How do you unpair your watch if you no longer have the phone?

I received an new phone and returned my old one. I completely forgot that my watch was paired and now I can't "unpair" it because I no longer have that phone. What is the work around?

To unpair and erase watch and remove Activation Lock

From a web browser,sign in to iCloud.com with your Apple ID.

Go to Find iPhone.

Click All Devices at the top of the screen.

Click your Apple Watch.

Click Erase [device]. Select Next until the device is erased.

Click Remove from Account.
