No sound while using apple tv

The sound to my AppleTV is working intermittently. I have to swipe up to close out the app and then completely power off and then turn back on. But if I go in-between apps the sound will stop. I have unplugged and plug. I have reset the device and even factory reset the box and still the same thing. When I am not suing the Apple TV the sound is fine. I ended up streaming from my tablet and the sound was fine. Any suggestions?

You've already done a tremendous job in troubleshooting this issue with your Apple TV. If you test a different HDMI cable and connect your Apple TV to a different TV, does this specific issue continue to occur?


Does your Apple TV have any pending updates available? If it does, try installing those updates to see if that helps:
