How do i get my gmail emails to back up?

i am trying to back up my emails to my icloud but i only see an account i dont use @me.com on the icloud emails. I want to back up my gmail emails.

You don't back up gmail to icloud.

Gmail has it own host, contact them or look at their support site if there is a way to back up your account.
