Recently received iphone 13 pro. Ever since I started using it, my emails are deleted from my iphone when I delete the emails from my mac. Can't find anywhere how to make it stop. Would prefer to delete them separately

that is the by-design behavior of email accounts using IMAP or exchange, only the older outdated pop3 don't sync mails in terms of deleting mails across all devices
