Why does the iPhone SE 2020 not support animoji?

Thia is something I find very interesting. If you go into iMessage, click the memoji button and click the 3 dots button, you can see a live animated preview. It is very accurate, even in low light, so I don’t get it why we can’t use animojis on this device. Can someone explain this?
