How can I contest a repair?

I sent my son's iPad in for repair under Applecare+.

  1. Email stated I was not going to be charged until after the repair. NOT true. I was charged right away...no big deal but worth mentioning.
  2. The iPad frame is clearly bent. There is a huge gap between the screen and back frame. However, the screen has not cracked and everything still works, for now. Send it in for repair, by mail. Apple said they found no issue.
  3. How can I contest this decision? There is no option online. Do I need to call the 1800 number?

your explanation is somewhat confusing:

as for your #1: Applecare+ covers repairs - how were you charged? The only time you would be if Apple replaces the iPad (standard) and puts through a charge authorization in case you do not send the old one back.

If you do not have Applecare, you may be charged for the repair.

So, can you be more specific please.

Finally, calling the store is not helpful; you would need to call support about repairs: 800-275-2273.

Yes. Dial the 1800 number - 1(800)MY-APPLE. Ask to speak with an Apple Store Representative.

You may want to perform some screensharing, it you need to contest (prove something, from your point of view).
