How do I get my access key?
I put in the person’s name to have access to my phone after I am gone, but I don’t have any access key or barcode or any key to give them or have for myself.

Go to Settings->Account(top of settings)->Password & Security->Legacy Contact->Contact's Name->View Access Key. The key will be there to print out.
It's a QR code and a long text code underneath.

Thanks @Phil0124. One issue may also be that the instructions aren't very explicit in assigning a legacy contact (I just played around with it and found this a little less intuitive). So, when the contact card pops up, rather than tap "back," which seems the only option, you need to click on a method of contact (email, etc) on the contact card to advance.
Yes. If you don't select a contact method there it won't generate an access key. This could have benefit with a bubble providing some guidance yes.

The access key should be generated as part of the process in assigning legacy contacts. If you didn't get one, try starting the process again.
