Lost Mode on Apple Watch Series 7

What does pending mean when you are trying to set apple watch to Lock Mode? Find My says Pending in the Lock Mode section, but does that mean it is waiting for the Apple Watch to connect to wifi/cellular prior to it officially being in Lock Mode. Apple Store didn't know the answer.

Locked Series 8 watch can’t ping iPhone I find it irritating that my series 8 can’t long my iPhone to find it when locked. I need to have the phone to unlock it (corporate profile added for work). Is there something I’m missing here? It would be extremely helpful to at least ping the phone to find it. Not asking for other feature just a couple options. apple watch - disconnecting i brought an apple watch 1 week ago, and now daily it disconnects from phone, not just for a minute or two but for hours on end. to which I need to wipe and repair the watch. some times yes my watch had been away from my phone, it is unavoidable, but also happens when phone is connected. my phone is not connected to wifi consistency, an d i can not find anywhere it states this needs to happen for the i-watch to work. can someone please give me some advice on how to stop this from disconnecting because it is frustrating as it is a very expensive item that only can tell me the time.

It means the watch battery is dead and/or not connected to the internet. When its does connect, the watch will go into Lock Mode. Until then all your personal data should be safe and secure.
