apple watch - disconnecting

i brought an apple watch 1 week ago, and now daily it disconnects from phone, not just for a minute or two but for hours on end. to which I need to wipe and repair the watch.


some times yes my watch had been away from my phone, it is unavoidable, but also happens when phone is connected.


my phone is not connected to wifi consistency, an d i can not find anywhere it states this needs to happen for the i-watch to work.


can someone please give me some advice on how to stop this from disconnecting because it is frustrating as it is a very expensive item that only can tell me the time.
