Download Older Version of Pages, numbers and Keynote

Hi I have upgraded my to OS 10.13.6, high sierra as high as I can go with my Macbook.

Navigating to App Store, Purchases, Pages (purchased 2014)

Can you cannot get beyond this.

Any pointers on where I can find the last compatible version for High Sierra? Thanks

Megan

The Pages versions compatible with High Sierra are v7.3 thru v8.1. Apple does not provide past full installers for direct user download.

When you launch the Mac App Store, you should sign in with the same Apple ID as you used to install Pages previously. Then press the option key while selecting the Mac App Store's Purchases tab. When you click on the Pages entry on the purchased panel, it will present the first dialog that you offered above. If you click Download, it may offer a second dialog asking if it is okay to install the last compatible version of Pages for High Sierra. If that dialog appears, do the obvious.

It is unclear to me if the Mac App Store will volunteer to install the last compatible version of Pages if you currently have v7.2 or earlier installed, which are not compatible with High Sierra.

Hello there, MeNagem,

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities! It sounds like you need to download the latest version of Pages available for your Mac running High Sierra. Apple has been in a process of transitioning to using only 64-bit versions of apps for some time.

32-bit app compatibility with macOS High Sierra 10.13.4 and later

While 32-bit app versions could be opened under Mojave with a warning that they would not be compatible with future versions of macOS, under Catalina they will not open at all. Apple's own apps have also undergone this transformation. The latest versions of many of their apps will not run on systems prior to macOS Mojave (10.14).

In order to download the latest version, as long as you are using the same Apple ID used to orginally purchase the apps, you will be able to install any updates available for your MacBook and the macOS version your are running by going to the App Store and downloading from the "Purchased" section.

Cheers!

Thanks for the reply. Like you, I am unclear as to why the system only points you back in a loop rather than say there are no earlier versions available. It says clearly you can download the last compatible version. So Apple should support the older version software because that is what they advise.

The version of pages, version 5.5.3, works with Sierra however I would like a later version to work with Grammarly for which I only need OS 10.12 or higher (i.e. Sierra).

I will give them a call to see if I can sort it out.
