MacBook Pro 2021 M1 crackling sound from Apple TV app

I had this default setting. It doesn't work at all. At least on Monterey 12.3

I have tried this, and it does not work. The clicking sounds are really annoying, intermittent and occurring across Safari, radio, streaming film, TV, youtube, etc., and Music.

The same with Monterey 12.3. What is happening is that restarting the computer seems to resolve the issue, but it shortly returns.

This fault fix doesn’t apply to all those applications you listed. This only affects Apple TV when it is running full screen. If you have it all the time then it might be a hardware issue.

I have this issue when connected to an AOC monitor. I checked the midi audio utility and I already had it set to 48000 Hz. Any other setting you can suggest me to try?

This issue is so embarrassing, especially for a machine this expensive. I hear this popping sound whenever I play music with my M1 MBP 16 in-built speakers. All suggested solutions are not working.

Thank you for digging into it. I can confirm that same happens with every M1 mac that I had. This is so annoying and I gave up diagnosing it.

Apple should react on it somehow.

12.3.1 (21E258) not solved the problem ... It may be a little better, but the crackling can still be heard occasionally.

What Apple Service advised makes no difference. As usual, after restarting the crackling can disappear for a period of up to a week or so, but then returns.

This is unbelievable.
