How do I verify that Find My iphone is turned off when the phone is already factory reset.

I am turning my old iphone X to my carrier for credit but it stated that Find My iPhone must be off in order to get credit. I already factory reset the old phone and don't remember if I turned it off before resetting it. How can I verify that Find My iphone is turned off?

You could not have factory reset the device if you had not turned off Find My. When you did all of this, you should have received an email at the account that you use for your Apple ID, the one used to activate the iPhone, and the email would have said that Find My has been turned off for (name of your iPhone) phone.
