Can't open applications from Mac mail
Whenever I click on a link in an email, I get "The application can't be opened. -10673"
I tried shutting down and restarting, still getting the same dialog box.
MacBook Air 13″, macOS 12.1

I have tried several browsers:
Chrome: works / no error
Safari: works / no error
Brave (My default Browser): Doesn't work / Error -10673
For now I have changed the default browser to Safari.
Resolved this issue on iMac with Monterey by changing default browser from Chrome back to Safari. Apparently my chrome installation isn't working, may need to reinstall
Does one have more than one Web Browser installed.
Have you configure in System Preferences >> General >> Default Web Browser to Safari or whom ever

I've had this problem with Apple Mail since installing the latest OS update, this past week (January 17. 2022). No URL will open without the error message appearing instead. However, every time I started up Firefox, the problem immediately went away.
Check the Proxy setting in Network >> Proxies for unexpected entries

old issue, new issue, what changed?
Is this an isolated issue or universal for all links(?)\
—Have you quit all applications rebooted the machine and try again
—What happens if you copy & paste the link in your browser directly
—copy & paste the link in an alternate browser, (non-default) and compare your results
Change the default web browser or email app on your Mac
Log out, sleep, wake, restart, or shut down your Mac
If no insight or resolve can you post the link here for a look see.
Is FireFox your default browser?

Sometimes if the url is malformed or not secure url - might be cause of the links not working ?
Suggest starting at the first posting on this question and move down reading all the suggested solutions
A very sudden issue for me, apparently an old issue of others.
Cutting and pasting would not have resolved the problem, given that I had no problem with Safari or Chrome. I also tried restarting the laptop, as recommended in other posts, but that didn't work either.
But half an hour later, everything was fine!
Obviously, another case of cybergremlins at work.

Ok LalitaX — sounds like your issue is solved
Happened with several different email links, so I don't think that was it. And in that case, I wouldn't have gotten a dialogue box, would I? The browser would have opened with a 504-type message, wouldn't it?
I downloaded a new operating system, and now when I try to read articles from magazine emails, I get "this application can't be opened -10673
Very annoying. Why can't Apple step up with anticipation of new OS problems. No solutions on YouTube etc yet.
Yeah I'm getting the same. Links which worked before in EVERY email coming up with "The application can't be opened. -10673"
HELP please
