I want to add insurance on my phone. Help?

I have att carrier, my insurance time period to add insurance past and i want to have applecare insurance. Thank you. This is my new iphone 12, dont want to take any risk

AppleCare is not insurance. It is a warranty extension. What exactly do you want? If you are in a covered location, there is an option to purchase AppleCare + Theft and Loss. Understand this is a limited service and would differ from actual iPhone insurance. However, you only have 60 days after the purchase of a new device to get this. AppleCare Products - iPhone - Apple take a look at the option here.

From left field ... there are TV ads for "upsie.com", which claims to be a better alternative to store warranties. I am not suggesting skip AppleCare+ for hardware issues, but maybe they has a loss/theft option.

Thanks for the reply. So i was planning to purchase applecare + theft and loss, would that be considered insurance or how does warranty works with any damaged, lost or stolen devices. I wasnt able to make it to the time window of adding it through ATT. So this is one option recommended bc i cant stay without insurance with expensive phone. Much appreciated your time and response.
