It appears that you have a carrier locked iPhone. Your iPhone is locked to the carrier that is currently showing active. You are attempting to add an eSIM from a different carrier. You can only add an eSIM second line from the existing current carrier.

Contact your current carreir and ask them about the requirements to get your iPhone unlocked. Once you get your iPhone unlocked from them, then you will be able to use different carriers with eSIMs or physical SIMs.
