Charge Port Liquid Damage Warrantied?

The charge port on my iPhone 13 got wet. After letting it dry, I still had the "liquid in charge port" message when trying to charge, so I disconnected it. I did this a few times, until the next day when it dried up. Then it charged fine.

Now a month later a couple of my charge pins appear to be corroded, and the phone won't charge through the port. The phone is 2 months old.

My question is, will Apple replace the charge port under warranty? I took it to the Best Buy Apple care center (no Apple store here) and they said they saw physical damage and would not fix it under warranty. Looking for a better answer than that.

No. Apple is rather clear that liquid damage isn't covered by warranty. These are the US terms, but their terms are pretty similar in other countries (you mentioned Best Buy which I understand also operates in Canada). The other issue is that if any of the liquid contact indicators shows exposure to water, Apple will deny any warranty coverage although they will likely approve an accidental damage replacement (for a nominal fee) for those who bought AppleCare+.
