Apple Watch is paired with iPhone but not showing in the Watch App

So my Apple Watch is working and I’m getting notifications and calls through it, yet on my watch app on my phone it is asking me to pair a device. My watch is only and only has ever been paired to this phone (iPhone 13 pro max). I have tried everything from restarting both devices, deleting and reinstalling the Watch app, turning on and off airplane mode/Bluetooth, updating iPhone, and I would love to update my watch but can’t considering I cannot access my watch through the app. I have searched high and low for a fix but everything seems to need access to my watch app. Anyone experience this or have a fix to it? It would be much appreciated!

I guess I would try to reset the Apple Watch to factory settings and pair it as a new Watch. On your Apple Watch, tap Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings and tap Erase All to confirm. This resets your Apple Watch to the factory settings. Then open the Watch app on your iPhone to pair it.
