Year free Apple TV plus

Purchased my MacBook Pro in June was meant to be getting a year free subscription to appletv + but have noticed it says it’s ending in February?

When did you redeem the offer? That is the moment that the extended trail period starts, for the duration as specified in the offer. Apple devices activated on or after July 1st would get a 3 months offer. The year offer was for devices activated before that. The Apple TV free offer requires a signup within 90 days of purchase.
