verification failed

Why does my phone keep saying verfication failed? Its also not letting me transfer my icloud data onto it.

Verification Failed there is an error connecting to the Apple ID server I’m trying to erase all information from an old iPhone 7 Plus that I have and I keep getting the message verification failed there is an error connecting to Apple ID server. This phone has been out of use since 2018. Is there anything I can do?

Verification Failed issue I have done everything i could and still says verification failed, i have have resent phone, used data, used different wifi, and reset password twice and still no effect. What else can i do?
